A lot going on today

I decided I didn't want to try to do the heavy cleaning, so I used the cancer card and called on Cleaning for a reason.  They are here now and are doing a great job so far.  You can even see Katie's floor!
The reason they are cleaning is because tomorrow and Wednesday we have volunteers from Home Depot coming out to help finish all the unfinished projects we've managed to pile up.  They are going to replace the rotting fascia board around the house, install trim in all the areas where we laid flooring, and completely remodel my kitchen.  I took off work for both days, so I'll be posting some pictures as things start to take shape.

I'm glad I have a lot to distract me right now.  I had a strange visual issue earlier when I came back to my computer at lunch.  I saw something similar to the picture in this post when I looked at my computer screen.  It lasted about 15-20 minutes.  Since I'm on this trial, I called my oncologist's office.  The nurse seemed to think it was migraine related and said I should expect a big headache soon.  I never got the headache and the vision issues are gone.  Some other people think it's an ocular migraine, which is a little different, but doesn't produce a headache.  My oncologist apparently thinks it is brain metastases.  She is ordering me a brain MRI.  That kind of worries me.  I don't have it scheduled yet, waiting on insurance approval.

  1. That looks like an ocular migraine. I get them sometimes when I am stressed out. They are not painful for me but I usually have to stop what I am doing.

  2. I get ocular migraines a lot, but they are different than that. They have strobe like affects off to the sides and a piece of central vision is missing or moved over from where it should be. But I suppose they can take different forms!
