4 Down 8 To Go

Finished my 4th of 8 Taxol treatments successfully today. I met a really nice lady, named Cynthia, who has been down this road 3-4 times. This time, unfortunately, the breast cancer has spread to her bones. Even though her prognosis is bleak, she still has incredible hope. It really amazes when I meet someone who is so hopeful. She knows she's alright because she's in God's hands. Amazing faith and hope...

I saw the oncologist today, and she said the tumor has definitely shrunk. I forgot to ask how much, but I plan to call her back in a bit and find out. Other than that, she said everything appeared to be going well and she scheduled me more Taxol appointments, which will be added to the calendar in the next hour or so.

  1. Sweetie, I had no idea - I'm glad we've finally caught up with each other but hate to hear that this is whats going on with you right now. I'm definitely keeping you in my prayers and glad to hear that its shrinking.

My mom is an 8 yr survivor now, hers was bilateral, and also ER pos. Who are your Dr's if you don't mind me asking?

  2. The only doctor I am dealing with here currently is an Oncologist named Dr. Krekow. I pissed off the Breast Surgeon who diagnosed me, when I chose to use a radiologist named Dr Reeb at Harris Methodist Downtown for my chemo port surgery. This was the first surgery I'd ever had, and I felt more comfortable going with the Radiologist who was recommended by my brother who works with him. I think I made the right decision. They took good care of me and my scar should be minimal.
